Client: HOF Miami
Industry: Local Church
Project Type: Graphics for Sermon Series, Children's Ministry Branding, and Online Stream Video
A local bilingual church, HOF Miami, asked me to help them with branding their Christmas series called "Manger to Majesty." This series focuses on the dual nature of Jesus as both a human and divine royalty. Additionally, they requested a unique brand identity for their children's ministry, "HOF Kids," and an updated online streaming video loop.
The Process
The series is significant spiritually for the church, and its goal is to reach a wide audience to spread its message. Therefore, it was crucial to create graphics that are visually appealing and reflect the narrative. I drew inspiration from woodcut line art to achieve a regal and timeless feel. The design seeks to contrast the majestic and ethereal with the humble and earthly, mirroring Jesus's dual nature.
Employing a rich palette of green, red, and gold, the design's focal elements were a crown (signifying divine royalty) and a manger (depicting Jesus's earthly beginning). The illuminating crown above Earth encapsulated Jesus's omnipresence.
Design Solutions
Sermon Series Graphic
The graphic was customized for in-person presentations and online streams, ensuring visual consistency across all platforms.
Print Materials
Business-sized invitation cards feature the series graphic prominently displayed on the front, with service details on the back. They utilize gold foil accents for the manger, crown, and series title, providing a premium finish.
Online Stream Video
Custom motion graphics were used to create an engaging experience for viewers, featuring the HOF Miami brand colors and the newly designed "HOF Kids" logo, while they waited for the online service stream to begin.
HOF Kids Branding
Integrating the existing fish HOF logo, a playful 'guppy' variation replaced the 'i' in "Kids." Hand-drawn typography and deliberately uneven color fills resonated with a childlike charm, all set against primary hues.
